This fan is by far one of the best camping items you can invest in. I find I can position this fan anywhere I want. Arguably even more important, in the event of a power outage, not only can you keep cool and have light (multiple choices in light color and intensity), but you also have a power supply for keeping smartphones charged. It is truly an excellent piece of equipment to have on hand in emergencies. I was so impressed with this device that I ended up purchasing its smaller versions (with fewer bells & whistles) for our RV.
I have bought smaller fans with not the greatest battery life. This is a big fan for what it is for. It is quiet and pushes a lot of air. I bought it because my RV air is not working. I live in Florida. It is March. At night I have to turn it off or on low. When I come home at 5ish it is hot. Before I get my shorts on I am sweating big time. When I get the fan in my living room rotating on high with the door open it blows the hot air out in minutes. I ordered the smaller one to keep in the bedroom.
