Will this work on stainless steel?

Yes, but only very thin stainless steel up to about 0.5mm. The recommended max for regular steel is 0.8mm. Stainless is harder. Stick to the lower end of the thickness range. For thicker stainless, you need a different tool.

Clean, burr-free edges on aluminum. I'm building a custom enclosure. Need precise, clean cuts. This nibbler left edges that were smooth to the touch. No filing needed. Saved me hours of finishing work. Professional results from a drill attachment.

Does it leave sharp edges that need to be filed down?

The edges are surprisingly smooth. Not razor-sharp like a shear cut. I ran my finger along the cut and it was safe to handle. For decorative work, you might still want to deburr. For functional cuts, it's fine as-is.

Cuts curves easily, not just straight lines. I needed to cut a circular hole in a steel panel for a vent. The cutter followed the curve smoothly. Much easier than using a jigsaw on metal. This attachment is more maneuverable than I expected.

Lightweight enough to keep in my tool bag. It's small. Doesn't take up much space. I toss it in with my drill bits. When I need to make a quick cut on a job site, I have it. No need to go back to the truck for heavy cutting tools.
